More commonly, in the past ferrets were working animals, used for hunting and rodent control. More recently, ferrets have become much more mainstream. They have appeared in films such as the BeastMaster series, Kindergarten Cop and Along Came Polly. Ferrets have begun to appear in TV ads and even Paris Hilton has been know to bring her ferret to public events. Oh my! With all the hype and the easy availability at most pet stores it is no wonder that the popularity of ferrets is growing each and every year. While ferrets do share some characteristics with the two other most popular pets, cats and dogs, ferrets are different in so many ways from traditional family pets. The aim of this site is to help you decide if a ferret is right for you and to help with your questions regarding the care of pet ferrets.
